How much deposit is required to book?

We ask that you make a 25% payment of the total price on booking/ If less than 4 weeks before your stay, full payment is required on the day of booking.

Final payment is due 4 weeks prior to your stay.

 

Do I need to take out Insurance for my Holiday?

It is strongly advised that you take out holiday insurance. Sadly, sometimes things don't go to plan, people can become ill, work commitments can change, sudden loss of a family member can affect your stay. Taking out insurance hopefully will cover some or all of the cost of your holiday should anything prevent you arriving or during your stay.

 

Why do I have to pay for a Good Housekeeping Deposit?

It is common procedure across professional accommodations. We know that accidents and unforeseen mishaps can occur. It is requested to maintain good standards for each guest. It covers specialised cleaning and replacement of any damages. This is refundable within 7 days of your departure, provided the cottage is left in good condition.

 

How many people can stay?

Any number from 1-4 persons can stay at Moulton View.

 

Do you allow dogs?

Yes up to 3 dogs are welcome. Please send us an enquiry or email as it is assessed on an individual basis.

 

What time can I check in and what time do I check out?

Check in time is after 4pm and checkout time is before 10am.  We will try where possible, allow you an earlier arrival time when circumstances present themselves. We will either contact you the day before or on your arrival day. Unless we notify you, please do not arrive before 4pm. We will where possible give the option of a late check out. Again please vacate the cottage on time, unless we contact you to state otherwise.

 

How do I access the cottage?

To access Moulton View there is a keysafe with a keycode.  You will receive the code the evening before your stay.

 

Where can I park the car?

There is a designated parking space for one car. This is in front of the garage belonging to Moulton View (not attached to the cottage). There is a short 60 second walk to the cottage from the garage to Moulton View. You will find parking areas near by on the country lane which is on a first come first served basis. Its a quiet lane and generally accessed by the locals. There are also areas on the main road ,Scurragh Lane.

 

How far is Richmond?

Richmond is just 7 miles away from Moulton. By car, between 10-15 minutes journey.

  • Dark Skies Fringe Festival - February 26th at the Green Howards Museum 
  • Richmond MayFest - Held over May Bank Holiday (2nd-4th) includes dancing, music, drama, craft stalls and a parade in and around Richmond Castle and the town centre.
  • Pantomime - Cinderella at The Georgian Theatre Royal until January 10th.
  • The Sting Bakyard Ultra - Endurance running race in Richmond July 11th.
